Thomas Bangalter is a French musician, record producer, singer, songwriter, DJ, and composer. He was one half of house music duo Daft Punk, alongside Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo. He has also released music solo, as a member of house trio Stardust, and as part of house duo Together. He owned music label Roulé, and has scored several films, as well as served as director and cinematographer.

He is the son of music composer and artist Daniel Vangarde (Bangalter) and choreographer Thérèse Thoreux. Thomas is married to actress Élodie Bouchez, with whom he has two children.

Thomas’s paternal grandfather was Leon Bangalter/Bankhalter (the son of Moshe/Moïse Bankhalter/Bangalter and Charna/Tsharna/Tsarna Beinstock/Binschtok). Leon was born in Paris, to Polish Jewish parents. Moshe was born in Wlodawa, the son of Slomo/Salomon/Szlomo Bankhalter and Haia/Chemka.       i see you added the genealogy here, but Leon Bankhalter Bangalter couldn’t be his paternal grandfather, since he died 4 years before his father Daniel was born, so he was probaby Thomas’s paternal uncle-grandfather unless his year of death is false

        Actually, his paternal grandfather was another Leon Bangalter, but Geni.com mixed the birth and death dates with the one who died (his parents are apparently correct, though). I’ve also found the genealogy of his paternal grandmother, who was ethnically French with some Breton origins, and not Jewish.
        So it goes like this:
