Philip’s paternal grandparents were Thomas Mauceri and Lena Giaruputo. His maternal grandparents were Frank Peralta and Angelina Curatolo. All four of Philip Mauceri’s grandparent’s were Italian immigrants.

Mauceri, Giarupto, and Curatolo tend to be southern Italian surnames (usually Sicilian).
