Mark is the son of Geraldine Lee (Finkelstein) and Milton Joseph Harelik. Mark’s parents were Jewish. Mark is married to actress/writer Spencer Kayden, with whom he has one child.

Mark’s paternal grandparents were Haskell Chatzkel Harelik and Matley Paley. Haskell was born in Belarus (under Russian Empire), the son of Max/Mottel/Mordecai Harelik and Bailey M. Gorelik. Matley was also from Russia.

Chaim Weizmann was an Israeli statesman. He served as the 1st President of Israel, from 17 February, 1949 to 9 November, 1952, and the 2nd Chairman of the Provisional State Council of Israel, from 16 May, 1948 to 17 February, 1949.

His father, Ozier (Fialkov) Weizmann, was a timber merchant. His mother, Rachel Leah (Chemerinsky), joined in migration to Mandatory Palestine (now Israel).

President Weizmann was married to physician Vera Rebecca Chatzman, with whom he had two sons.

President Weizmann’s nephew was military officer Ezer Weizman, who also became the 7th President of Israel.

President Weizmann’s paternal grandfather was Chaim Azriel Fialkov (the son of Falk Fialkov and Malka).

President Weizmann’s paternal grandmother was Gittel Rivka Chereminsky (the daughter of Feivel Chemerinsky and Rahel/Rehle Weingarten). Feivel was the son of Itsko Yitzhak Chemerinsky and Sheina Hayah. Rahel/Rehle was the daughter of Yechiel Michal Weingarten.

President Weizmann’s maternal grandfather was Yechiel Michel Chemerinsky (the son of Moshe Avigdor Chemerinsky and Hayah). Moshe was the son of David Yehoshua “Shaya” Chemerinsky.

Ezer Weizman was an Israeli politician and military officer. He served as the 7th President of Israel, from 13 May, 1993 to 13 July, 2000, and the Minister of Defense, from 20 June, 1977 to 28 May, 1980.

His father, Yechiel Weizmann, was a Belarusian Jewish agronomist, from Pinsk, whose older brother was the first President of Israel, Chaim Weizmann. His mother, Yehudit “Ida” (Krishevsky), was born in Rishon LeZion.

President Weizman was married to Reuma Schwarz, with whom he has two children.

President Weizman’s paternal grandfather was Ozier Fialkov (later Weizmann, the son of Chaim Azriel Fialkov and Gittel Rivka Chereminsky). Chaim was the son of Falk Fialkov and Malka. Gittel was the daughter of Feivel Chemerinsky and Rahel/Rehle Weingarten.

President Weizman’s paternal grandmother was Rachel Leah Chereminsky (the daughter of Yechiel Michel Chemerinsky and Fruma Chemerinsky). Yechiel was the son of Moshe Avigdor Chemerinsky and Hayah. Fruma was the daughter of Moshe Yitzhak Chemerinsky and Miriam.

President Weizman’s maternal grandmother was Batya Hirshfeld (the daughter of Samuel Hirshfeld and Gruna Kastel). Samuel was the son of Avraham Hirshfeld. Gruna was the daughter of Tzvi Kastel.

Akiva is the son of Mira (Kowarski/Kowarsky) Rothenberg and Teveyeh Y. “Tev” Goldsman. Akiva’s parents were Jewish. Akiva’s father was born in Washington, D.C. Akiva’s mother was born in Vilnius, Lithuania, and moved to the U.S. in 1939.

Akiva’s paternal grandfather was Akiva Moshe Holtzman, later known as Maurice C. Goldsman (the son of Yankev Osher Goldsman and Sorah Raizel Pomerantz).
