Stevie is the daughter of Barbara and Aaron Jess Seth Nicks, Jr., a country singer.

Stevie’s paternal grandparents were Aaron Jess Nicks (the son of Johnathon Travis Nicks and Fannie Lida Newton), a mechanic, and Effie Myrtle Heaton or Cox. Johnathon was the son of Anderson Travis Nicks. Johnathon was the son of Anderson Travis Nicks and Mary Ann Wilkins.

Stevie’s maternal grandparents were Edward Ornal Neppel/Nepple and Alice June Harwood (the daughter of William Henry Harwood and Winifred Claire Kelley). William was the son of John A. Harwood and Nina C. Turner. Winifred was the daughter of John Ervin Kelley and Artemisia Amanda Camp.
