Sarayu Rao is an American actress. Her roles include the shows Sons of Tucson and Monday Mornings and the films Lions for Lambs and Blockers. She is also known as Sarayu R. Blue.

Sarayu was born in Madison, Wisconsin, the daughter of mother Nidadavolu Malathi, a Telugu writer, and father Narayana Rao Velcheru, an author, critic, researcher, translator, and professor at the University of Wisconsin–Madison at the Department of South Asian Studies. Her parents are originally from Andhra Pradesh, India. They speak Telugu.

Sarayu is married to Jonathan Blue, of ReKon Productions.

Sarayu’s maternal grandfather was named Sri Nidadavolu Jagannatha Rao.

Sarayu’s maternal grandmother was named Seshamma.

    Change Velcheru to Narayana Rao. Velcheru is his last name. Telugu names have last names/surnames go first.
