Sam Houser is a British video game producer. He is the president of Rockstar Games, a company which he co-founded with his younger brother, developer Dan Houser. He is one of the creative forces behind Grand Theft Auto.

He is the son of actress Geraldine Moffatt and solicitor Walter Maurice Houser. He became a U.S. citizen in 2007.

Sam’s paternal grandfather was Isaac Houser (the son of Harris Houser and Clara Houser). Isaac was an Austrian Jewish immigrant.

Sam’s paternal grandmother was Marjorie Ashworth (the daughter of William Robert Ashworth and Bertha Barrett). Marjorie was born in Darwen, Lancashire. William was the son of an unknown father and Sarah Ashworth. Bertha was the daughter of Bethuel Barrett and Sarah Chew.
