Rory Feek is an American country music singer and songwriter. He was a member of country and bluegrass duo Joey + Rory, alongside his wife Joey Feek. They were married until her death.

Rory has two children with his former wife, Tamara Gilmer, and a daughter with Joey.

On his blog, Rory wrote:

If you look up Indiana, it means “land of Indians,” and Joey has lots of American Indian blood in her heritage, as do I, though the Irish in me is what’s visible most in the mirror.

Rory’s paternal grandfather was named Herbert James Feek. Herbert was born in Kansas.

Rory’s paternal grandmother was Beulah Belle Baumgartner (the daughter of Elias Baumgartner and Dena Meyer). Beulah was born in Nebraska. Elias was the son of Samuel Baumgartner and Elizabeth Meyer, who was born in Switzerland. Dena was the daughter of Conrad Meyer and Fannie.

Rory’s maternal grandfather was Leo Clayton Carnahan (the son of Joseph Lee Carnahan and Anna Laura Scheffler). Leo was born in Michigan.

Rory’s maternal grandmother was Madeline Marian Pemberton (the daughter of Lovell Hugh Pemberton and Alvina Mary Lesperance). Madeline was born in Michigan. Lovell was the son of John C. Pemberton and Mary Ann Coombs, who were from Ontario, Canada.
