His family’s surname was originally French, Laroche. La roche translates to “the rock” or “the stone.”

Roger’s paternal grandfather was Noris J. Stone (the son of Jerry/Jeremiah Laroche/Stone and Angelina/Angeline G. Graveline). Norris was born in Connecticut. Roger’s grandfather Jerry was the son of Joseph Laroche/Stone and Delima Berthiaume, who were born in New York, of French-Canadian descent. Angelina was French-Canadian, the daughter of Frank Graveline and Angelina/Angeline Cote.

Roger’s maternal grandmother was Grace C. Mezzo/Mego (the daughter of Andrew Mezzo/Mego and Rose Evansco). Grace was born in Connecticut, to Hungarian parents. Rose was the daughter of John Evansco.

While Roger is sometimes referred to as being Jewish, this is not accurate. He is not of Jewish heritage.

The Census says “Hungary” about his maternal grandmother’s parents but something may be wrong. “Mezzo” is Italian.

No need for a picture of Roger Stone. Samantha Bee said he looks like an Easter Island statue. Go with that.
