Ethnicity: Dutch, as well as possibly some Indonesian

Robin van Persie is a Dutch professional footballer and coach. A striker, he played for Feyenoord, Arsenal, Manchester United, and Fenerbahçe, and the Dutch national team. He has been co-head coach of Feyenoord U18/U19, and previously assistant coach for Feyenoord and co-head coach for Feyenoord U16.

He is the son of José Ras, a painter, jewellery designer, and teacher, and Bob van Persie, a sculptor. Robin is married to Bouchra (Elbali), with whom he has two children. Bouchra is of Moroccan origin.

He has been mentioned as having some Indonesian ancestry. It is not clear if this is accurate.

Robin’s maternal grandfather is named Wim Ras. Wim was also a footballer.

    His lips and eyes were a give away. Was surprised to learn he was Thai, though. And I believe his mother is half-Thai.

    You guys should write his name write…the Van part should be van without a capital V thats the dutch spelling; and since he is Dutch his name should be written like Robin van Persie

    Correction: he isn’t fully Dutch. He has Indonesian blood from his grandma who was from Surabaya. This is why he doesn’t look like an average Dutch.

    I thought he was muslim or like half arab or something like that! He does not even look full dutch but more southern european like Italian or something because of his dark curly hair, not really typically dutch features.
