    • madman says:

I looked through the genealogy, and out of the remote ancestries you mentioned, I only found remote Baltic German. We don’t have to mention every ridiculously remote ancestry everyone has, 1/1024 is a good cut-off.

Swedish, 1/16th Ashkenazi Jewish, 1/32 Norwegian, remote German

  2. madman says:

Rebecca’s paternal grandfather was Harry Scheja (likely the son of Ivar Scheja and Greta Andrea Torkels). Rebecca’s great-great-grandparents were Jacob/Jakob Scheja, who was born in Galicia, Austria-Hungary, and Julia Johanna Feght, who was Norwegian.

Rebecca’s paternal grandmother was Margareta Magnuson. Margareta was descended from Göran Fredrik Göransson and Catharina Elisabeth Sehlberg. Göran was a merchant, ironmaster, and industrialist, and the founder of the company Sandvikens Jernverks AB in Sweden.

Rebecca’s maternal grandfather was Sven Brinkendahl.

Rebecca’s maternal grandmother was Gunhild Elisabet Andersson (the daughter of Karl Hjalmar “Kalle” Andersson and Anna Karolina Brodd).

It’s hard to say how much of her father’s ancestry was Jewish, so I would write: Swedish, some Ashkenazi Jewish, 1/16th Norwegian
