Rain Pryor is an American actress and comedian.

Rain is the daughter of actress and dancer Shelley R. Bonis and comedian Richard Pryor. She is married to Dave Vane. She has a daughter with her former husband, police officer Yale Partlow.

Rain’s paternal grandfather was LeRoy “Buck Carter” Pryor (the son of Roy P. Pryor and Rithie Marie Carter). Rain’s grandfather LeRoy was born in Illinois. Rain’s great-grandfather Roy was the son of William Henry Pryor and Mary F. Rithie was the daughter of Richard Eugene Carter and Julia/Julie Isabelle Piper.

Rain’s paternal grandmother was Gertrude L. Thomas (the daughter of James Brown and Mary Louise “Josie” Craig). Gertrude was born in Illinois. James was the son of Wiley Brown and Mary Williams.
