Pitbull was born in Miami Florida to first-generation Cuban American parents. His parents instilled the Cuban culture in him by making him memorize the words of Cuban poet, José Martí.
He was quoted in an article in the Miami Times that being “white with blue eyes” made his journey into the rap music industry a little difficult as he didn’t fit the typical mold for a rapper.
Pitbull’s primary genre is Latin Rap and Reggaeton with some Miami Bass flavor. Pitbull has a penchant for dropping verses in Spanish.

Pitbull is white, he is a blue eyed man with strong European facial features, he is very likely of full Spaniard descent or of some other European country. Spaniards weren’t the only ones to immigrate to Cuba. And anyone saying that he may not be white because he may have Native American and/or black is using double standards. 1 out of 3 white Americans have some black ancestor yet no one questions their “whiteness” but the moment someone comes from a Hispanic country comes into the picture, their European roots are put into question.

You couldn’t be more right! I’ve seen this happen many times and not only to Hispanics, but Brazilians too. If you watch any interview with Gisele Bündchen on YouTube, there will be lots of people saying that she’s not Brazilian, that she’s German. And the woman can’t even speak German! And I also read a comment where someone says that Alessandra Ambrósio isn’t White because she’s “brown, a latina”, like he said.
I don’t know why it’s so hard to simply take it that a White person may be from Latin America!

how do you peope know so much..about the average cuban?….and currently Cuba has 65% European majority population according to their official 2002 census, although this is disputed from other oservers. read cuba on wiki with all the sources are there. But that doenst mean everyone has to be mixed. Most of the Cuban americans were the grandchildren and great-grandchildren of Spanish immigrants, and 50years later the cuban population has changed quite abit since most of the middle and upper class left cuba.Only 100 years ago the cuban population was only 1.5 million, to now 11 million.

Why do you say this with such certainty? My family is Cuban and we have no Native or African blood in us (or Middle Eastern or Chinese for that matter since those races/ethnicities exist in Cuba as well). As a matter of fact, Spanish isn’t the only European ancestry we have. Not all Hispanic people are mixed.
Damn, people need to stop generalizing so much and get educated instead.
