Phill Lewis is an American actor, comedian, and director. He is known for his roles on the shows The Suite Life of Zack & Cody, The Suite Life on Deck, Lizzie McGuire, Friends, The Wayans Bros., Yes, Dear; Scrubs, and How I Met Your Mother.

Phill was born in Arua, Uganda, to American parents. He is the son of Gayle (Jones) and Delano Lewis (Delano Eugene Lewis), who was an attorney, businessperson, and diplomat, and was the U.S. Ambassador to South Africa, from 1999 to 2001. His father was born in Arkansas City, Kansas. He was serving as the U.S. Peace Corps’ associate director and country director for Nigeria and Uganda, when Phill was born. Phill is married to Megan Benton Lewis, with whom he has two children.

Phill’s paternal grandfather was named Raymond Ernest Lewis. Raymond was a porter for the Santa Fe Railroad.

Phill’s paternal grandmother was named Enna L. Wordlow.
