Peter Cullen is a Canadian voice actor. He plays Optimus Prime in the Transformers series, among numerous other voice roles in film and television.

Peter is the son of American parents, Muriel Margaret (McCann) and Henry L. Cullen, his father from Boston, Massachusetts, and his mother from Rhode Island. He has stated that he is of Irish descent. He also has smaller amounts of German, Swiss-German, and French, ancestry. He has four children.

Peter’s paternal grandfather was Michael H. Cullen (the son of James Cullen and Mary Malloy). Michael was born in Massachusetts, and was of Irish descent. James was the son of Michael Cullen and Margaret.

Peter’s paternal grandmother was Mary Martha Dildine (the daughter of Henry Dildine and Margaret Cullen). Mary was born in Massachusetts. Henry was the son of James H. Dildine and Anna Magdelina Eckman.

Peter’s maternal grandfather was Alfred Watterson McCann (the son of Michael John/James McCann and Maria Frances Watterson). Alfred was born in Pennsylvania. Michael was born in Ardfinnan, Ireland, the son of Arthur Desmond McCann and Helen O’Fogarty. Maria was born in Pennsylvania, the daughter of John Sylvester Waterson/Watterson and Sarah Salome McAfee, and had Irish, German, Swiss-German, and French, ancestry.

Peter’s maternal grandmother was named Mary/May C. Carmody (the daughter of Micheal Carmody). Micheal was the son of Irish parents, Micheal Carmody and Catherine.
