Peggy Lee was an American jazz and popular music singer, songwriter, composer, and actress.

She was the daughter of Selma Amelia (Anderson) and Marvin Olaf Ekström/Eriksson/Egstrom. Her father was born in Wisconsin, to a Swedish father and a Norwegian mother. Her mother was born in South Dakota, of Norwegian descent. She had a daughter with her former husband, jazz guitarist Dave Barbour.

Peggy’s paternal grandfather was John Magnus Ekström/Erickson (the son of Erik Andreason Ekström and Maja Lisa Eriksdotter). John was born in Hjertungen, Ör, Dalsland, Sweden. Peggy’s great-grandfather Erik was the son of Andreas Andersson Ekström and Kjerstin Olofsdotter. Maja was the daughter of Erik and Maja Jansdotter.

Peggy’s paternal grandmother was Berthe/Bertha Gurine/Gurena Olsdatter (the daughter of Ole Rughaven/Halvorsen and Marie Johannesdatter Rustenberg).
