She definitely has some Italian ancestry from “Brambila” line, that is a very common surname from Lombardy, originally spelled “Brambilla”.

Paulina Rubio has indigenous Mexican roots. These are the races of some of her ancestors:

* José Ramón Brambila Gil (great-great-great-great-grandfather, Paulina Rubio -> Susana Dosamantes -> María Elena Susana Riestra Alcaraz -> María Micaela Alcaraz Brambila -> María Paula Brambila Villarruel -> Andrés Brambila Pérez -> José Ramón Brambila Gil) – Spanish
* Nicolasa Gil Salgado (José Ramón Brambila Gil’s mother) – mestizo (according to her baptismal register) or Spanish (according to her marriage register), but preferrably mestizo because she was of indigenous Mexican descent
* Simón de los Santos Gil Rodríguez – coyote (according to his marriage register)
* Ignacio Gil López – mestizo (his parents were also mestizos)
* Nicolasa Rodríguez – Spanish (according to her marriage register, however her parents’ names are unknown) or indigenous Mexican (if her children were coyotes and her husband was a mestizo) (Note: Some of the indigenous Americans were reclassified as Europeans. For more info, kindly read this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Casta#Racial_Terminology )

Please, do not edit her article yet, but you can generalize that she has indigenous Mexican roots.

This is a prime example of how NOT all Mexican people are short and Indian. Some Americans might benefit from reading these descriptions.

she is not short as Lady Gaga or Shakira but she’s not tall anyway (163 cm)
