He is known for his roles on the series Another World, Guiding Light, Wolf Lake, American Dreams, Everwood, Army Wives, 24, The Vampire Diaries, which he also directed episodes of; Tell Me a Story, and Star Trek: Strange New Worlds; in the films Roll Bounce, Cloud 9, Peaceful Warrior, Killer Movie, Beneath the Blue, The Baytown Outlaws, Before I Disappear, Amira & Sam, Mothers and Daughters, and The Late Bloomer, in the mini-series Fallen (2007) and Flowers in the Attic: The Origin, and in the made-for-tv movie The Russell Girl. He is also known as Paul Wasilewski.

His parents, Agnieszka (Smoleńska) and Tomasz Wasilewski, are Polish immigrants. He spent a significant amount of time growing up in Poland, and is able to speak Polish.
