Nicholas Jarecki is an American film director, producer, and writer.

Nicholas is the son of Marjorie and entrepreneur, producer, and psychiatrist Henry Jarecki (born Heinrich Georg Jarecki). Among Nicholas’ half-brothers are filmmakers Andrew Jarecki and Eugene Jarecki. He is a nephew of physician Richard Jarecki and chess organizer, International Arbiter, and writer Carol Jarecki.

Nicholas’s father was born into a Jewish family in Stettin, Germany, now Szczecin, Poland. Nicholas’ mother is from Michigan, and is Catholic.

Nicholas’ paternal grandfather was Max Moritz Jarecki (the son of Jacob Jarecki and Luise/Louise Türk). Max was born in Posen. Jacob was the son of Moritz Levy Jarecki and Nanette/Jeanette Goldmann. Luise was the daughter of Nathan Türk and Malvina/Malvine Kantorowicz.

Nicholas’ paternal grandmother was Gerda Kunstmann/Kuntsmann (the daughter of Arthur Kunstmann/Kuntsmann and Clara Händler). Gerda was born in Stettin, Germany. Arthur was born in Swinemuende, Pomerania, the son of Wilhelm Jakoby Kunstmann/Kuntsmann and Lina Jacobi/Jacoby. Clara was born in Hindenburg, Germany, the daughter of Heinrich/Herschel Händler/Haendler, who was born in Baranowitz, Silesia, Prussia, and of Antonie/Antoni Mosler, who was born in Gleiwitz, Silesia, Prussia.

Nicholas’ maternal grandparents’ surnames are Miller and Ferguson.
