Her father is originally from Germany and her mother from Russia, and Michelle can speak Russian fluently. She states in an interview that this was the only way she could communicate with her grandparents. Her family celebrates both Christmas and Hanukkah and her grandparents live in Israel.

I do Beleive Jewish people have very strong beautiful features …..and yes they may be stereotypical but they are beautiful to me espicially when mixed with black …Ex…Lauren London ,Drake, Mya ……you get the big cute nose the full lips and that pretty honey tan complexion

@Mac Ashkenazi Jews are a mixture of Middle Eastern and European. Many of them do not look Middle Eastern, just like Michelle Trachtenberg, and can fit into a normal European population depending on the country.
At my university, I normally cannot tell one is Jewish. They usually have to mention it. I have also thought some gentiles were Jewish based on stereotypical features associated with the ethnicity, but they turned out not to be.

jews are ethnic middle eastern peoples and all legit jews(not converts) have some sort of ethnic connection to Israel. Ashkenazi jews are sort of eastern european, like russian or georgian, but they are semitic middle eastern as well. sephardic jews come from around morroco or spain, and they are semitic as well, and mirzahi are ethnic israelis so obviously middle eastern. all real jews are semetic meaning middle eastern, as only arabs and jews are the semitic people in the world.

What? I usually cannot tell someone is Jewish just by looking at them. Unless you want me to go by stereotypes and even then, you will most likely be incorrect. Many people think Will Ferrell and Jennifer Aniston are Jewish because of stereotypes. Meanwhile, they have no idea Jennifer Connelly and Scarlett Johansson have Jewish mothers, and think that Robert Downey Jr. is Spanish.
Anyway, I do not understand why people make such a big deal out of some being Jewish.

@Mac Ashkenazi Jews are a mixture of Middle Eastern and European. Many Ashkenazi Jews are indistinguishable in some European countries, depending on the place. So, yes, a lot of them, just like Michelle, do not look Middle Eastern.
There are Jews at my university, and honestly, I do not even know they are Jewish until they mention it.

Jewish is a religion, not an ethnic group. With this being said, it’s safe to say that today’s “Jews” look like her because they are converts of the religion not the ethnicity (can’t switch and bait your ethnicity). She is European, case closed…not middle eastern.
