Wow, no offence, but that came across to me as really rude. So, Megan Fox says something arrogant.. “Oh, but she’s white, it’s only natural.” I’m white and proud, and not in the least bit arrogant. I found that comment to be really rude, to be honest. :s
So, she doesn’t look Native American, but that doesn’t mean you can say she hasn’t got Native blood. I’m pretty sure she knows more about her heritage than you do. How do you know Megan Fox didn’t ask her family about her heritage when she was younger?
I’m pretty sure she’s not including Native American to just sound exotic.
Take her Irish heritage for example. The stereotypical view of an Irish female is slim, pale, long red hair and freckles. Does Megan Fox fit that description? No. But you don’t see us Irish saying Megan’s not Irish. Do I believe she has Native American blood? Yes, I do. Because the only person who knows the truth about her heritage is Megan Fox and who are we to say she’s not X or Y.

Yeah no prob:) I am half Dine and Apache; Im an official member of the San Carlos Apache tribe. I have never really paid much attention to the physical traits of tribes but I have noticed that each tribe has its own characteristics. People within my tribe are short and tall, with light or dark skin that ranges from olive to tan to bronze, etc. I think teenagers my age look gorgeous sometimes even the guys because we all look so youthful. But some people dont look their best but its mostly because they dont really take care of themselves because they dont know how to; there are alot of alcoholics and obese people but Ive heard that Native Americans get more health risks from fast food because Native Americans originally ate mostly lean meats and vegetables compared to the carbohydrates and grease found in fastfood. Yeah but alot of tribes have that problem like the Pimas in Salt River they were on National Geographic for being the most unhealthy tribe in the U.S. I dont want to sound arrogant or rude but I live near that rez because I am away in college and there arent many people that mainstream American society would call gorgeous. Most are dark or light and majority are obese probably because theyre exposed to more foods and different things than my tribe is. But yeah appearence differs between tribes just like language. The only things we really have in common are the non materialistic things like beliefs and values.

Thank you for seeing things the way I do. Being a voice of young Native American people is what I love to do. I am so tired of non-Indians and people in Hollywood claiming to be Native American. It is a big offense to real Native Americans. Most of our ancesters that we can trace back to were put through so much because they were proud to be Native American. Even through brutal, intended acts of genocide such as The Long Walk; they died for us because we are their grandchildren. And yet non-Indians with only less than one-quarter Native American blood can just emerge when all that hostility is over and claim to be a Native American? Thats not right. Native Americans are the most impoverished and discriminated people in the United States and Megan Fox is a millionare that could care less about us Native Americans. She is only worried about being marketable, so called beautiful(shes not), and being different(though she is no different than other robots in Hollywood).

* The things she says might be okay to Mainstream America and white people; because this country has free speech. But what I am saying is that if she were a true Native American she would abide by her tribes norms and values instead of being arrogant and disrespectful and making a total idiot out of herself(not just to Native America but to Mainstream America). Native Americans are the most disadvantaged people in the United States and it’s partly because people think we lack intellect: like Megan Fox does. She should at least make her people proud and then Native Americans would actually believe her claiming to be Native American.

* Even if Megan Fox is part Cherokee(you only have to be one finger nail qvotom to be considered NA with this tribe because they are so highly integrated with Whites. That is why they are considered the White mans tribe.) she would still be a disgrace abolmination to all Native America because she lacks RESPECT. Respect and spirituality are the most important things in Native American culture.
