Excuse my language, I over-reacted but that made me a little mad. Lauren is the main one trying to claim she is more intelligent than the rest and she used the word “coloreds” wow. you just discredited yourself. I no longer take anything you have to say seriously even though you say ur an anthropology and genealogy “expert”. Don’t care what you think you know, you are dense and maybe a little racist (although I’ll admit it’s indirect racism).

Mariah Carey never said that her great grandmother was Native or Afro-Venezuelan. She said Venezuelan on the Lopez Show and most Venezuelans are mixed/Afro-mestizos. They are not pure. Really, it is her paternal grandfather who is Venezuelan and her paternal grandmother is African-American. Her grandfather changed his last name from Nunez to Carey. Have seen a picture of her abuelito (grandpa) and it is on her “Bye Bye” video. He doesn’t look black like Sammy Sosa. He was dark straight haired, dark eyed, and olive skinned like many Hispanics.

You all sound so ignorant? There are all shades of black that can pass for white or latino..just like latinos can pass for whatever. You are actually on here claiming Mariah like she’s paying you. Here talent has nothing to do with here race you retards…and just because over the years she changed her look to be more white doesn’t make it so. There is hardly any person left in America that isn’t mixed with multiple races..so shut up and read a damn book.

I assuming your talking to me.In most of the post to me,she say blacks are always trying to make someone black, and since it was me doing to talking; I thought she was talking about me being one of the blacks. Not that I mind being called black

Redlegs are the poor Irish whites of places like Barbados. But what they leave out is that during their slavery period, the women were breed with black men,to produce a new light skin work force.Over time they have tried to breed out their black blood.Like I said I was just bring this to light.
You use the word coloreds alot, what country are you in?
Next,I have no problem if she is more white than black,it isn’t going to make me like or dislike her any less. Also again we did make the rules, white people did.If she wish to say she’s a white woman,it wouldn’t hurt me one bit.
Oh BTW,what’s with the double standard,I notice if anyone else on here is mix blooded, you call them mix;yet me you call black?
