Royal was the son of Edward Francis Walsh and Helen Julia Mason, whose parents were English.

Her mother’s ancestry is only German, Irish, and English, no Swedish.

And French-Canadian:

I don’t know who her paternal grandmother is.

She is definitely mixed.
Her mother looks tri-racial (African, Amerindian, European) instead of just mestizo though.

Walsh is really, really common around here, in Ireland. I can assure you it’s an Irish name. I have two friends with the surname, and know tonnes of others. :D

I always knew she had Brazilian in here, and Irish, but never knew about the Swedish and German.

Brazilian is not a ethnic group or a race it is a nationality. Her mother’s background is probably Portuguese Mestizo(Portuguese,NativeAmerican and possibly black).

Can anyone here explain what Anglo means? Thanks a bunch.

Alf July 9, 2010 at 4:33 pm

Anglo means English.

Hibernia July 9, 2010 at 11:39 am

Walsh is a very Irish surname. It’s not anglo at all

Sarah T July 9, 2010 at 12:34 pm

Yeah ur probably right, but no websites state that shes half irish, they all say shes half american and half brazilian.

Hibernia July 9, 2010 at 12:50 pm

I just think that with a surname like Walsh it’s more likely that she is half American-Irish as opposed to half American-English. Walsh (sometimes Walshe) is one of the most common Irish surnames … the only English people with Walsh as a surname would be of Irish descent
