Maggie Q is an American actress and model. She has starred in the films Live Free or Die Hard and Death of Me, and the series Nikita and Designated Survivor. She is also known as Maggie D. Quigley.

Maggie was born in Honolulu, Hawaii, U.S. Her father is American-born, and is of Polish, as well as Irish and French, descent. Her mother is Vietnamese. Her parents met when her father was stationed in Vietnam.

She became popular starring in Hong Kong movies, and took Mandarin and Cantonese lessons to aid her career.

Maggie’s paternal grandmother was Mary Theresa Gazdzik (the daughter of Aloysius Gazdzik and Helen Nowicka). Mary Theresa was born in New York, and all of her grandparents were Polish. Aloysius was the son of Stanislaus Gazdzik and Katharine Trojak. Helen was the daughter of Albert Nowicki and Annie.

    She definitely looks euro Asian. Clearly her eyes show that… either way that’s what she is. My neighbors across the street from where I grew up was a Jewish and Vietnamese and looks a lot like Maggie.

    Always thought she was a nice looking woman. I think asian or mixed with asian are good looking people anyway. My childhood neighbor lived across the street and was Jewish and Vietnamese mix and they favor each other.
