I am mix Brasilian and proud of Portugues ancestors in my line very easy to see in my family. Shame for Brasilians who do not speak of Portugues peoples and instead only say “I am German or Italian”. I sometime laugh inside because I can see they have Portugues but that is how low some people can be. Maybe almost 100% of Brazilians from 3 or 4 generations have many Portugues blood inside them, I am proud to say this.

Most of people in Brazil are portuguese descent. If you see the surnames here you will realize that most of them are Portuguese surnames. People in Brazil like to say that almost everybody here have black blood, but the correct is that most people in Brazil have Portuguese blood.

Some people who are portuguese descent (Portuguese surname) they don’t really know that. So they say they are not portuguese descent. On the other hand, there are people who know they are portuguese descent, but they are assamed about that and, because of that shame, they lie saying they are italian descent. It is a type of inferiority complex, because Portugual nowadays is a poor country and Portuguese people have a reputation (here in Brazil) of being stupid people. What is a bullshit.

Carvalho is Portuguese. Machida is Japanese. He is mixed like many people in Brazil. It is very common in Brazil.

Portugueses surnames in Brazil: Silva, Sousa, Pereira, Ribeiro, Ferreira, Oliveira, Nogueira, Noronha, Braga etc.

Most brazilians are of African AND Portuguese descent, with maybe a little native. I’m not saying he is. But that’s the truth.

Lyoto mother is Portugues descedend. I am from Brasil and I know. Mostly Brasilians are Portugues descended but think only to say Italian like Germany. That a shame on Brasil, but true is we are mostly Portugues from Portugal descended many years ago.
