Luis Merlo is a Spanish actor. He has been a regular face on Spanish television, with notable roles in Aquí no hay quien viva and El internando.

As a child, he frequently traveled with his actor parents, Carlos Larrañaga Ladrón de Guevara and María Luisa Merlo Colomina. He became accustomed to see them on their theatrical tours, performing and backstage, along with his three siblings: Amparo, Kako and Pedro.

Luis’ paternal grandfather was Pedro Larrañaga y Ruiz-Gómez (the son of Carlos Larrañaga y Onzalo and Margarita Ruiz-Gómez y Sanz-Crespo). Carlos was the son of Pedro José Larrañaga y Sorazabal and Ana Francisca Ulpiana Onzalo y Urriolabeitia.

Luis’ paternal grandmother was named María Fernanda Ladrón de Guevara y Trápaga.

Luis’ maternal grandfather Ismael Merlo Piquer (the son of Abelardo Merlo Bort and Amparo Piquer). Ismael was born in Valencia.

Luis’ maternal grandmother was named María Luisa Colomina.
