Lucy Boynton is a British actress. She is known for her roles in the film Bohemian Rhapsody and Netflix’s The Politician, among others. She was born in New York City, and raised in London, England, U.K.

Her father, Graham Boynton (Graham John Boynton), is a British journalist, consultant, travel writer, and editor. He was born in England and raised in Bulawayo, Rhodesia.

Her mother, Adriaane Pielou (Adriaane Briony Pielou), is a travel writer.

Lucy’s paternal grandfather was Herbert J. D. Boynton (the son of Herbert Boynton and Evelyne Baker). Lucy’s grandfather Herbert was born in Birmingham, Warwickshire, England. Lucy’s great-grandfather Herbert was the son of Thomas Boynton. Evelyne was the daughter of John Baker.

Lucy’s paternal grandmother was Doris Gwendolyn Hampson (the daughter of Sydney Horace Hampson and Emily Gwendolyn Francis). Doris was born in Aston, Warwickshire, England. Sydney was the son of David Hampson. Emily was the daughter of William Hampson and Annie Coughlan, who was Irish.

      I thought it was French. There are Canadians with that surname.

      At least her mother was likely not English with a first name like Adrianne, regardless of her surname. But who knows.

      I tried to find an interview with her mother to hear if she has an accent, but without result.
