    Ethiopians are a mixed race group of humans like Latinos, the Malagasy and Somalians. Jewish and Arab people came to East Africa over a thousand years ago. Habesha Ethiopians makes up a large percentage of the Ethiopian population. Putting Ethiopians who sometimes looks Indian but with kinky curly hair in the same group as west Africans who have tightly coiled hair and braod features makes no sense. Most people on this thread need to study human phenotypical variation and history for that matter. There are ethnic groups in East African that share the features of west Africans. The only reason the Habesha people don’t is because of large rates of mixing over a thousand years ago.

    If Tyra Banks had a daughter with Tyson Beckford.

    Ethiopians are unique African people. They aren’t the dark west african or arabs of north africa. They look blended between the two.

      Ethiopians, are just as dark as west Africans. The problem is people on the internet like to promote certain tribal affiliations, and ignore the rest. There are up to 100 different ethnic groups ranging from light skin to deep dark. North Africa is also light to dark, despite what people like to show , Arab is just their culture

      • cwm85 says:

        Arabs is a race… and majority are in North African. There is A difference between arabs and Black Africans.

          @cwm

          Sweetie Arab is not a race, it’s. Their cultural. Identity. Saying someone is Arab, is like saying someone is American Arabs can be black, white, mixed, and even Asian .the difference. Between a black African and a Arab can just be their faith system.Black Africans, back in the day were seen as pagans.While other Africans were Jewish, Christian., and Muslim (Arab)

        Ethopians are on average way lighter than West Africans, but the main difference is that they’re physically completely different. And there’s no such thing as North Africa “light to dark”, unless there’s a recent mixing with SSA people. Some North Africans can pass in East Africa but not in West Africa.

          @Andrew not true, you live on stereotypes,only certain groups of Ethiopians are light, they come in all shades just like West Africans. West African Ibos and Fulanis many are light skinned and straight nosed, wavy haired, etc. Both West and East Africa has light and dark Africans. My ex sister in law was Ethiopian. The Amharic Ethiopians tend to be the lightest. All of subsharan black African goes from light to dark. Just GOOGLE Senagalese and Nigerian West Africans, you will see a huge complexion color range.

          This link, scroll to Senegalese West African beauty pageant, they are lighter then Ethiopian Liya. The same black/brown tones appear all over Subsahran Africa not just East Africa but West and South Africa has varying black skin tones.

            @Andrew, the JET black stereotype of Africans was made during slavery to decrease the high diversity of skin tones among Africans and all blacks. Black people naturally go from golden brown yellow to dark midnight black in skin tone without admixture.

            Midori are you kidding me? is that a joke? are you telling me how Senegalese look from your Caribbean Island? do you know that in Europe there are maybe more Senegalese than in Senegal? and they’re all dark as night, contrarily to Nigerians who can be relatively light skinned, even though there are some theories about it.
            I seriously doubt those ladies are 100% Senegalese.

        For once I agree with you, Fuzzy.
