Lindsey’s paternal grandfather was Lawrence Anthony Sporrer (the son of Frank X. Sporrer and Clara May Kemper). Lawrence was born in Dedham, Carroll, Iowa. Frank was the son of German emigrants, Wenzelaus Sporrer, from Staudach-Egerndach, Traunstein, Bavaria, and Anna Catherina Jacobina Leubbert, from Dithmarschen, Schleswig-Holstein. Clara was also the daughter of German emigrants, Anton Kemper and Josephine Dultmeier, who was from Oldenburg, Lower Saxony.

Lindsey’s paternal grandmother was Mildred Ann Eich (the daughter of Charles Eich and Anna Reinart). Mildred was born in Roselle, Carroll, Iowa. Charles was the son of German emigrants, from North Rhine-Westphalia, Franziskus Eich and Katharina Walterscheid. Anna was the daughter of Mathias Reinart, a German emigrant, from Mettendorf, Rheinland-Pfalz, and Anna Susanna Friedman, whose father, and maternal grandparents, were also German emigrants, from Baden.

Lindsey’s maternal grandfather was Magnus Cyril Ostebee (the son of Lars Mikkelsen/Mikkelsson Ostebee and Charlotte Nelson). Magnus was born in Irwin, Shelby, Iowa. Lars was born in Østabø, Sand, Rogaland, Norway, the son of Mikkel/Mikal Mikkelsson Østebø/Ostebee and Sissela/Curlis “Cecelie” Bjørnsdatter Hellevik/Hellevig. Charlotte was born in Iowa, the daughter of Thomas “Tom” Nelson, who was born in Stavanger, Rogaland, Norway, and of Inger Christina Thompson, whose parents were Norwegian.

Lindsey’s maternal grandmother was Viola Mae Asmus (the daughter of Henry Andersen Asmus and Wilhelmina/Wilhelmine Christine Draeger). Viola was born in Audubon, Audubon, Iowa.
