I thought Leo was just of german and italian ethnicity. Overall, I dont really know, but I honestly think that him being russian is a fraud made up by the users who edit in fairytale stories to impress the fans. According to what I heard was totally different. Here is what I heard. In a 1995 interview with David Letterman, David was asking him about his middle name being german and last name italian. It was clear that I heard leo annouunce his mother is german and father was italian. But, there was nothing mentioned on him being russian. For instance, no part of his names are russian. Also, on Leo mania in 1998 the announcer even revealed he was born to a german mom and an italian dad! I think thats the biggest answer you will get from me. If you still dont believe me then youtube Leo mania(1998) and his interview with Letterman(1995) and you will possibly beleive it may be true. Thank you! Brandon

He’s started about his Russian grandmother in many Russian interviews. Of course he said what his mother is German! She was born in Germany, has german name. He was also never asked about ethnicity. And his father also half German, but this he did not say, and it does not mean that his father is 100% Italian.

I honestly think that if he himself says that he’s half russian, then he’s half russian.Think about it! Both of his grandparents on his mothers side look nothing more than russian, and even he says it himself. I honestly think there is a 99.9% chance he is half russian.For example, just because this site says what it says, that doesn’t mean its right.Here’s a clear hint: whatever the actuall leonardo says is most likely true.So, with that being said, I honestly think he is of half russian, part italian, and part german.Please understand me.Thank you.
