Gaga pointed out similarities she shares with pop idol Madonna, ie. both being of Italian origin, both starting out in the New York underground scene and both “becoming famous when dying their hair blonde”.
She is apparently able to speak French.

@ Vince, actually, I’ve been told I look Italian by my Italian family. Who are all blonde, pale and blue-eyed. I was in Northern Italy a few weeks ago, and I saw tonnes of people there that weren’t just “slightly lighter”. (:

Paul, the reason you don’t “look Italian” is because you’re only 1/8. It has nothing to do with what part of Italy your ancestors come from. Same goes for Taylor Swift (and btw, the Baldi surname is also found in the South). Northern Italians are slightly lighter than Southern Italians, but still not particularly light. Hell, even Southern Germans are predominantly dark.
