Kylian Mbappé is a French professional footballer. He plays as a forward for Ligue 1 club Paris Saint-Germain and captains the France national team. He has also played for Monaco II and Monaco. He became the youngest French player to score at a World Cup, in 2018. His transfer fee to Paris Saint-Germain, at €145 million plus €35 million in add-ons, made him the then-second most expensive player ever, behind teammate Neymar.
He is the son of Fayza Lamari, a handball player, and Wilfried Mbappé, a football coach and Kylian’s agent. His father is from Djébalè island, Cameroon, and his mother is Algerian, of Kabyle origin. He was raised in Bondy, Seine-Saint-Denis, a commune. His brother is professional footballer Ethan Mbappé and his adoptive brother is professional footballer Jirès Kembo Ekoko. He speaks French, English, and Spanish.
