Kristin Chenoweth is an American singer and actress. She is known for her vocal range of 4 octaves, and her appearance on the television dramas The West Wing and Pushing Daisies, among many other film and television roles.

Kristin is adopted, and “Chenoweth”, an English and Welsh surname, is the surname of her adoptive parents, Junie Smith and Jerry Morris Chenoweth. Jerry is the son of Roy Morris Chenoweth and Mildred Alice Livengood. Junie is the daughter of Doyal Smith and Katherine Hale.

Kristin has said that she is of one quarter Cherokee ancestry by birth. She has said that her biological parents were a pilot and a flight attendant.

Standing at 4 feet and eleven inches, Kristin has stated that she is the only person in her family that is not tall, and the only one who is musically talented.

    I like her and yes, she does look like a lot people that are part cherokee I know.

    I wouldn’t necessarily go by her given surname for her ancestry. She was adopted, and may be Welsh, but possibly not.
