italion, at least northern italion, is simply a nationality belonging 2 the white european race.the only reason some might think there not white is because in southern italy alot of the italions mixed with other races so in some areas in italy there not white and the confusion comes in these italians that have mixed with darker skinned races, when asked what they are they simply say there italian, when in reality thats not all they are.like on jersey shore those people look more like sicilian or mexican not italian.real italians with only european blood running through their veins look like kristin cavallari or gwen stephani, they look like white people bc thats what they r.and they can have light or dark hair

“southern italy alot of the italions mixed with other races”

wtf are you saying? Italians, north or south, looks alwais the same. Impossible nowadays distinguish one from another, only when u open mouth I’d say where he comes from.. Stop sterotypes

    • COOLGUY2012 says:

Agree in most part you said. But there are also many southern italians that are not mixed like other southern ones (with some arabs and greeks). North and Central italians are like their cousins, the swiss and austrian people.

I’ve seen pictures of her when she was 12 or something like that in an old Seventeen magazine. Her natural hair color is a really dark golden blonde color. She’s probably Northern Italian American.

  3. Athena says:

I made a mistake: Cavallaro is a Sicilian surname, not Cavallari..
Cavallari is from the Middle and the North

  4. Anonymous says:

She is definitely not 100% Italian! I look WAY more Italian than her and I am 1/2 Italian.

    • Melanie Lombardi says:

Soooo, you’re lighter in skin color? Northern Italians are much lighter then say Sicilians. Either way she’s full Italian both her parents look Italian.

  5. anna says:

mmh her greatgrandparents are from genua (liguria,north-ovest of italy) and fano (marche,a region near rome).so,she’s not southern italian.

Regarding the comments above, none of you are anthropologically educated. First of all Italy/Roman culture was started by Greeks (period), no if’s and’s or but’s. But later the Romans mixed their blood during the Roman occupation of other continents and soldiers brought women back from the semitic countries. I’ve been to both Greece and Italy, and the Greeks are much more of a white race then Italians. When Greeks conquered other continents they weren’t allowed to bring any spouses or children back to Greece, this was the law set by Alexander the Great’s mother. And during the Turkish occupations of Eatern Europe, the Greeks and the Slav’s wouldn’t inter marry with the Turkish people. Look at Greek actresses: Melina Kanakarides, Nia Vardalos, Debbie Mattenopoulos, they are all white looking people and they are full blooded Greek. Also look at Costas Mandylor and Mike Chiklis, John Cassavettes and Kurt Rambis, they are also full Greek and they are white. Now look at the Italian actors: Nick and John Tarturro, Vincent Pastore, all of who look like Arabs. Sorry but in modern times most Greeks resemble Slavik people, and many of them even look Nordic European, this is why Greece had the best basketball team in the world in 2004 beating the American Allstar Team, because many Greeks are tall, and most Italians are short and chubby. Even the brunnett Greeks are pure Caucasians. I’ve been to northern and southern Italy and didn’t see much of a difference, most Italians look Lebanese. Yes I did see a few blone Italians and i asked them their background, and they told me that one parent was Italian and the other was Swiss. I’ve been all over Greece and seen many types of looking Greeks, but most of them are white. The brunette Greeks have straight noses and more fair skin, different from those dark Italian types. And DNA has even proven that the Greeks are 99.9 percent “non- mixed race” meaning most Greeks are pure caucasians. And just so you guys know, the brunette caucasoid is the true caucasian, the blonde hair and blue eyes is an albino gene that came from incest which caused a lack of protein to exist, which caused a genetic malfunction. So dark brown and black haired and light olive to white skinned caucasoids are the original caucasoid people. As the Black haired Irish/Celts are the true Celts, not the albino and redheaded looking ones. This has all been documented by DNA studies by Forensic Scientists all over the world. Greeks are the Oringinal and True Europeans, and Greece is the oldest country on the continent of Europe and the Greeks are the ones who educated and Christianized all of Europe. Me being Irish have a Great respect for Greece and its history. All you people in the posts above need to get properly Educated in Human Genetics.

You think you can generalize an entire nation’s genetic history by cherry picking a couple of Hollywood actors that don’t have a “typical” look to them. You’re an ass.

      • Mena says:

I dont know about the DNA tests but I can immediately tell most people who are not Greek.. and Kurt Rambis, Costas Mandylos and Mike Chiklis are definetely not 100% Greek.. if you google it you ll find it out too.. as Zach Galifianakis and even John Stamos who looks very Greek is also half Irish.. Billy Zane though is 100% Greek ..

      • Untermensch123 says:

Greeks white? LOL they look like turks, i have been in all southern europe for work and the darkest place is greece, even darker than portugal (i don’t think that greece is part of europe at all, more like middle-east)

      • canunot says:

        @ Nick the Irishman
I do not think you make sense in the area of who is Caucasian and who is not. The cradle of civilization is really in the middle eastern area, so I don’t know what you mean when you talk about Middle Eastern people being less Caucasian and Italians mixing with them meaning that they are less white or caucasian than Greeks or other Europeans. Middle eastern people are considered Caucasian and by the way I have seen Irish people who are chubby and short, so what are you talking about the “short chubby Italian types.” Also went I was in Italy most Italians were thin and not short, even in central and southern Italy. So I conclude that you are letting your white supreme attitude cloud your judgement of history and ethnicity of Italian people and Middle Eastern people in comparison to other European people. I think maybe you need to go back and get properly educated because you have selective education on who is caucasian and who is not and who mixed with who historically. People of the world and that includes, Greeks and Europeans have roots in the middle east and Africa whether you like it or not.
