One is led to believe that america is a progressive country but I beg to differ! I’m a south africa, black lady. In south africa, we recognise a person’s full genetic make-up; I truly believe that this 1 drop rule or whatever its called is unfair. We have coloureds (mixed race people- people who have been mixed for centuries), then we have our biracial people (I.e. Famous comedian trevor noah), then blacks of various tribes (my dad is Sotho and my mum is xhosa- I identify with my mum’s tribe).

Hi – It is easy to see that Kris’ father is of mixed race (I read half-black and half-white), so that does not make him “black” and therefore Kris would be no more than 1/4th AF-AM, if I read the facts correctly.

What does that matter? Almost all so-called African-Americans have some European in them. If you want to know why a person like Kris Humphries is “black”, you need to look to European-Americans that set up the system. My grandmother on my father side is of some white ethnicity and my greatfather on my mother side is Irish, but I’m sure if you saw me you would say that I am “black”. This is how it works in the US especially.

no not indian, it clearly states that his father has an irish grandmother. Chris’ mother is also irish hence meaning chris is more than 50% Irish
