The Canadian singer was first famous for her hit single Don’t call me baby. She was born to a Canadian father of Scottish and German ancestry and a Jamaican mother of African and Chinese descent. She stated this in an interview.

She has also said in an interview that her mother wanted her to learn about Jamaican life so she sent Kreesha to Jamaica to live for one year when she was 15. From that experience she learned that singing is a big part of life on the island.

    Yes people from the Caribbean are color struck. I have friends from the Caribean saying they want to have kids with a white or asian man because they only want “pretty children.” I think its sad that they go through life thinking like that.
