There is some debate regarding her Mother’s ancestry. Some say she is half Korean while others say she is full Japanese. Kimora maintains that her mother is full blooded Japanese who was a war refugee that moved to Korea.

to that girl zolie who said obama looks totally black. I really don’t get why people say that?..if I saw the man walking down the street it would be plainly obvious that he is not just black. I’m Irish, and the blacks that are here are usually from africa hence meaning they are actually FULLY black. It seems you americans do not know what a fully black guy looks like if you are stupid enough to say that obama looks fully black. put obama beside his mother and his father and his skin colour is right in the middle, and facial features wise he resembles his mother way more than his father. I know many of you are going to rate this comment down for some strange reason, because it seems that anyone who says obama looks mixed race gets attacked on here lol

I don’t really understand some of the comments posted here concerning Kimora. I’m not black, so am I missing something here? Why do some of you not consider Kimora to be black? Yeah, she considers herself black and japanese. She said so on the tyra show. I don’t think she is not owing her black half just because she is proud of her japanese heritage, too, by giving her daughters and son japanese names. Yes, she looks in appearance to have asiatic features, but that’s what happens when two races come together. A child can look more or less like both races in the family or one over the other. It’s genetics. I have a suspicion some of you would treat her differently and be like, “No, she’s just black” if she had the facial features of what you guys think black looks like.

what stupid person would say she’s just black… plz reply to my comment so i can call u a complete dumb ass. no offense but she’s very tall and her mother is asian who is not 6’1/’2 her hair is more course than an asian person’s hair. but as for her facial features they look more asian than anythng. nonetheless she’s gorgeous and i do not think that she knocks her asian side, it’s just ppl like you who doubt that she’s black which is prolly why she says it a lot.

I really like this sight. I have to grown daughters who are Afro-American (me the mother) and Nor-Swedish (father). It is nice to see others who are successful and multiracial.

Some mixed people (which is rare) look either totally black, white, asian and so forth. Like Kimora, she looks totally Asian. I would classify her as Asian, because if she was in a group with Full blooded Asian you could not tell if she was mixed. And that is how the world really looks at it, plain and simple. Just like President Obama, he looks totally Black, and he knows it. So it would be stupid for him to run around talking about I am mixed. He has the sense to know how the world sees him, and it is not about denying one side over the other

Black and east asian seem to mix very smoothly. They either end up looking like a tan asian (like Kimora) or a black person with almond shaped eyes (like Ameriie or Crystal Kay). Usually a very striking mix though.
