Birth Name: Khloe Alexandra Kardashian

Place of Birth: Los Angeles, California, United States

Date of Birth: June 27, 1984

Ethnicity:
*father – Armenian
*mother – English, as well as Scottish, Irish, German, Dutch, Scots-Irish/Northern Irish, Welsh, remote Jersey Channel Islander and Cornish

Khloé Kardashian is an American socialite, television personality, and model.

She is the daughter of Robert Kardashian, an attorney who was one of O.J. Simpson’s lawyers at his murder trial, and Kris Jenner (born Kristen Mary Houghton), a socialite. Her siblings are Kourtney Kardashian, Kim Kardashian, and Rob Kardashian, and her half-siblings are Kendall Jenner and Kylie Jenner. Through her ex-stepparent, Caitlyn Jenner, she was a stepsister of musician Brandon Jenner and socialite Brody Jenner. Khloé’s nieces are Penelope Disick and North West. She has also been known as KOKO and Khloé Kardashian Odom, the latter while married to professional basketball player Lamar Odom.

Khloé has two children with her former partner, Canadian-born professional basketball player Tristan Thompson.

Khloé’s father was of Armenian descent. Khloé’s mother is from a family that has lived in the United States for many generations, and has English, as well as Scottish, Irish, German, Dutch, Scots-Irish/Northern Irish, Welsh, and remote Jersey Channel Islander and Cornish, ancestry.

A 23andMe DNA test whose results were displayed on the show Keeping Up with the Kardashians (2018) stated that Khloé’s and her sister Kourtney’s genetic ancestry is:

*53%-58% European
——–*4.5% French
*41.6% Middle Eastern & North African

The test also evidently stated that the Kardashians have a fraction of Native American DNA, presumably under .4% in Khloé’s case, given her 58% European and 41.6% Middle Eastern results.

Khloé’s paternal grandfather was Arthur Thomas Kardashian (the son of Tatos Saghatel “Thomas”/Tom Kardashian and Hamas “Hanna” Shakarian). Arthur was born in Los Angeles, Los Angeles Co., California, to parents from Kars, Russian Empire. The family were ethnic Armenian Molokan Jumpers from Karakale, now Turkey. Tatos was the son of Saghatel/Sam Kardashian/Kardaschoff and Harom “Mary” Varsoff/Yuzbashian. Khloé’s family’s last name was spelled Kardaschoff in Russia. Khloé’s great-grandmother Hamas was the daughter of Demos/Tom Shakarian and Goolisar/Grace Yesilbashian/Thomson.

Khloé’s paternal grandmother was Helen Jean Arakelian (the daughter of John Arakel Mgrditchian Arut Arakelian and Vartanoosh/Rose Miroyan/Mirayan). Helen was born in Los Angeles, Los Angeles Co., California. John was born in Getap, Vayots Dzor, Armenia. Vartanoosh was born in Erzurum, Erzurum, Turkey, of Armenian descent, the daughter of Hovhannes Miroyan and Luciag Chorbajian.

Khloé’s maternal grandfather was Robert True Houghton (the son of True Otis Houghton and Mary Lee Pickens). Robert was born in San Diego County, California. Khloé’s great-grandfather True was born in Oklahoma, the son of Otis Sewall Houghton, who had deep New England roots, and of Lula Laura Barnard/Bernard. Mary Lee was born in Texas, the daughter of Charles/Charlie Luran A. Pickens and Lizzie/Elizabeth Mae/May/Mary A. Douglas/Douglass.

Khloé’s maternal grandmother is Mary Gorden/Gordon/Jo Campbell (the daughter of Gorden/Gordon Lowe Campbell and Lou Ethel Wyatt). Khloé’s grandmother Mary was born in Arkansas. Khloé’s great-grandfather Gorden was born in Mounds, Creek, Oklahoma, the son of Jefferson Davis Campbell and Freedonia/Fredonia/Fredom May Teaney. Lou was born in Mississippi, the daughter of Walter Alba Wyatt and Mary Tiny VanZandt/Van Zandt.

Khloé’s matrilineal line can be traced to her great-great-great-great-grandmother, S. Margaret “Maggie” Gray, who was born, c. 1833, in Mississippi.

    Correction.

Khloe and Kim both to a DNA admixture test on Lopez Tonight. Khloe’s results were that she was 97% European, 3% Native American. While this tests can sometimes have results that may be chalked up to genetic noise, her results were similar to her sister Kim’s results who exhibited an admixture of 94% European, 6% Native American. One test could have false results, but for the test to incorrectly designate both of them with Native American DNA is unlikely.

Native American should be added to her profile.

George Lopez’s DNA tests also stated that Larry David is 37% Native American, so I don’t know what to make of them. With the Kardashian sisters, perhaps they just made the same mistake (though I suppose they confirmed that the two sisters were full biological sisters, a frequent subject of media speculation?). For all I know, Lopez’s tests read Eastern European ancestry as Native American, or are just wrong, or who knows what else. They’ve gotten somewhat better in the years since.

Megan Smolenyak Smolenyak discussed Lopez’s tests here:

“This same test pegged me as eight percent Native American and six percent African, which is curious, given that I’m half-Irish/half-Slavic and most of my family has only been in America for three or four generations. More current testing identified me as one hundred percent European – admittedly blander, but certainly more credible for someone of my ancestry.”

        those tests are a joke

        • passingtime85 says:

I don’t know about that, I’ve taken a DNA admixture test and it pegged me perfectly.

What was funny about that episode of Lopez Tonight was when he gave the results to Kardashians.

I seem to recall he said Kim was “Armenian” while Khloe was “European”. Khloe was befuddled and asked “Wait, so am I Armenian?” George responded yes, but it seemed like he knew he obviously messed up somehow. Maybe it was his dyslexia at play, but made me think Khloe and Kim maybe not be full siblings.

the dna test from that show was a joke they said kim was 90 something % armenian even though her mom isnt armenian

Honestly I laughed when OJ Simpson claimed to be her biological father, but now that I look at her features….. she does look a little black. It is possible for a mulatto to look “white”. Mariah Carey and Rashida Jones are perfect examples. Also, that guy from Prison Break. They’re all white-passing!

Khloe Kardashian is not Robert Kardashian’s biological child. Her real father’s name is Alex Roldan, who was Kris Jenner’s hairdresser and former lover while married to Robert. Khloe would look more like her real father, but she had a nose job at an early age. She is very beautiful, but has always felt different mainly because when she was young she didn’t know that she had a different father. She appears to me to be the classiest and most levelheaded in her family. I wish her the best.
