Khalid was the King of Saudi Arabia, and its Prime Minister, from March 25, 1975 until his death on June 13, 1982. He was the son of Ibn Saud, King of Saudi Arabia, and Al Jawhara bint Musaed Al Jiluwi. He succeeded his half-brother Faisal of Saudi Arabia, upon his death. He was succeeded by his half-brother Fahd of Saudi Arabia upon his death.

Khalid was married four times, and had multiple children.

Khalid’s paternal grandfather was Abdul Rahman bin Faisal Al Saud (the son of Faisal bin Turki bin Abdullah Al Saud and Sarah bint Mishari bin Abdulrahman bin Hassan Al Saud). Faisal was the son of Turki bin Abdullah bin Muhammad and Hia bint Hamad bin Ali Al Faqih Angari Tamimi. Khalid’s great-grandmother Sarah was the daughter of Mishari ibn Abdul-Rahman.

Khalid’s paternal grandmother was Sarah bint Ahmed Al Kabir bin Mohammed Al Sudairi (the daughter of Ahmed Al Kabir bin Mohammed bin Turki Al Sudairi). Ahmed was the son of Mohammed bin Turki bin Suleiman Al Sudairi.

Khalid’s maternal grandfather was Musaed bin Turki Al Jiluwi (the son of Turki bin Abdullah Al Jiluwi). Khalid’s great-grandfather Turki was the son of Abdullah bin Muhammad bin Saud.
