Portuguese people (from Portugal, which is part of West Europe) are White just like Italians, Spaniards, French, etc.. In these countries, people speak Latin languages but that does not define their race. This fact confuses dumb people pretty easily.

    Summary of Racial Origins:
    Northern Europe = Nordic Whites
    Southern Europe = Mediterranean Whites
Central / Southern America = Latinos

Some people keep referring to Cristiano Ronaldo as the typical Portuguese, which is not realistic. Cristiano Ronaldo is from the Madeira island which stands to Portugal as Hawaii stands to the US.
Besides, Cristiano Ronaldo is 1/4 Cape Verdean, which is part of Africa. Not but not least, race has a broad variety of looks, so let’s not define an entire population by the looks of one single person, otherwise we might as well say that all Americans are dark because Oprah Winfrey has nice dark skin! Dahha?!

Your summary is wrong.Latino is not a race,it is only relationed with language. In Central and South America there are many people from many parts of the world and different races. And the real latinos were the Romans, Italians,Spaniards….
American census wants to change the real meaning of the words.

    • marjanel says:

And not all Central and South Americans countries are latino. Also there are latino countries in North América like Mexico

She looks like a beautiful german/portuguese hybrid.

To me she looks Scottish, she looks like this Scottish person I knew. So the strongest blood in her to me would be the West European side

I agree Portuguese people aren’t as dark as some think but they actually are tanned naturally like Cristiano Ronaldo i.e and usually have dark eyes and hair. Katy Perrys real haircolour isn’t even black but some shade of blonde so I don’t get why she would look distinctive Portuguese to anyone. I would never guess beside the fact its just very little of her ancestry. She looks pretty much Irish/English to me(- black hair)

I grew up near Alameda and there was and still are Portuguese there. Yeah, Katy looks Portuguese. Weird that people don’t think Portuguese are white but they’re as white as English or French for the most part with some mediteranean ‘elements’ I would say. But pretty damn white if you ask me.
