    so why her name is Holmes… holmes is quite typical english… i mean her father is German and Russian so she should have a typical name of those countries… but i guess that for a career she choose that one…
    Hollywood industries should let the natural names of actor… and not push them to change their names…

      Katie have not changed her surname.i think there were an english (british) ancestors from her father side,but nobody make mention of them cause it’s not interesting…..unlike german or russian origin.If some famous person has any german or russian origin so that’s COOL!!!….but if he’s of english or scottish ancestors-it’s bore

        From what I’ve read there are more Americans of German descent than other European groups and not so many Scottish so it would be more exotic to be of Scottish descent or Welsh than German. I’m sure people are proud of whatever heritage they have. Every country is cool if you know the history.
