Katherine LaNasa is an American actress, ballet dancer, and choreographer.

Katherine is married to actor Grant Show. She has a son, actor Henry Hopper, with her former husband, actor and filmmaker Dennis Hopper; and a daughter with Grant.

Katherine’s paternal grandfather was James Jack LaNasa, Sr. (the son of Giovanni/John Richard LaNasa and Edna Mitchell Font). James was born in Louisiana. Giovanni was born in Cefalù, Province of Palermo, Sicily, Italy, the son of Giacomo La Nasa, from Termini Imerese, also in Palermo, and of Provvidenza Greco, from Cefalù. Edna was the daughter of Salvador Adrian Font and R. C. E. “Katie/Kate” Mitchell, and had Spanish/Catalan, French, English, and German ancestry.

Katherine’s paternal grandmother was Emalie French McNair (the daughter of Stephen Bertram McNair, Sr. and Katie Ruth French). Emalie was born in Mississippi. Stephen was the son of Reuben Watts McNair and Emma M. Pearce/Pierce. Katie was the daughter of Eugene Brewster French and Lelia Hulett/Hillsman Aby.
