Karl Markovics is an Austrian actor and film director. His roles include the films All the Queen’s Men, The Counterfeiters, Unknown (2011), The Grand Budapest Hotel, Me and Kaminski, The King’s Choice, Fog in August, The Dark (2018), A Hidden Life, and Resistance (2020). He has directed and written the films Breathing (2011) and Nobadi.

He is married to actress Stephanie Taussig, with whom he has two children.
