His father was a Bosnian Serb (meaning ethnic Serb from Bosnia). The Sekulovich family’s roots trace back to Podosoje near Bileća, Bosnia and Herzegovina. Karl spoke Serbian and was raised as a Serbian Orthodox. Karl was also the name of his grandfather.

Bosnia is an Artificial State. There is no Bosnians. In real you are an Serb an Croat or an Bosnian Muslim.Thats why Bosnia is divided in three Parts.Karl Malden was clear a Serb. His Father is Serbian and his Mother Czech. In Youtube you can find an Video from Karl Malden where he has an Serbian Flag in his Hand.Especially the Bosnian Muslims are the Hypocrates. In time of War they call all Bosnian Serbs who live in Bosna clearly “SERBS”.But when the Bosnian Serbs have an Famos Person then they call him suddenly “Bosnian”.This shows how hypocrate you are.

Whats wrong with you “bosnians”??? In Bosnia you are either muslim, Croat or Serb. There are no ethnic group called bosnians, never will be.

  4. okay says:

Uhmm.. Bosnian is not ethnicity, he could be Bosnian Serb but not Bosnian itself is’s same like saying he is of “european” ethnicity.

  5. Me! says:

he is actually Bosnian and not Serbian at all..!

read up Early life where you can read that his family or the family Sekulovich roots and real origin is from a town in Bosnia and Herzegovina called Bileca..! just to let you know that he is not Serbian ;)

    • IDIOT says:

Karl Malden is Serbian! The man (may he rest in peace) stated this himself. Yes the man was born in Bosnia and Herzegovina a former state of Yugoslavia. Bosnia and Herzegovina was once a state of the former Yugoslavia! Therefore making Mr Malden Yugoslavian of Serbian ancestory! Mr Malden did not hold a Bosnia and Herzogovian passport as it was merely a state of a country. Bosnia and Herzogovina was not a country you uneducated twit! Also there is no such thing as a Bosnian. You were either a Muslim, Croat or a Serb! Also there is no such thing as a Bosniak either it a pathetic and uneducated attempt at creating a so-called specific identity for Muslims! As for wikipedia an fool can change it to suit their version of history! How many times do wikipedia pages change?!

      he is serbian.!!

      • Me myself and I says:

I am Bosnian myself and I guess I know more than any of you.. Me! is right.! people here were separate by their religion.. but when you look into history Bosnian Orthodox or Bosnian Catholics have no Croatian or Serbian ancestry nor do the real Croats or Serb accept Bosnian’s (by the same religion) as their own people.. Just think about it.. what you are saying isn’t even logical:
Muslim (a religion) and then Serbian and Croatian (nationalities)… Even Americans call themselves American even though they’re not from the USA and even though they’re all from different ancestries, and they’re very harmonious, while Bosnian’s (who are all from the same country, all 1000% Bosnian) hate on each other because of religion.. It’s like saying Serbians are actually from Russia because Russia is the biggest Orthodox country.! Or Croatians are from Italy because that’s the biggest Catholic country.. We are all Bosnian’s and don’t you tell me that my ethnicity doesn’t exist! American ethnicity doesn’t exist, Bosnian does only that we are too hatred toward different religions (not myself, I’m talking generally)
and just read the Wikipedia, Me! said it.. the Sekulovic family has roots in a small Herzegovina town.. I have so many Sekulovic friends here and they themselves say that they’re from that town and they’re Bosnian (Herzegovnian) the only people who actually push this religion/nationality story are our politicians, people started ignoring them, I barely meet anyone who claims to be from Serbia or Croatia!
