Jordan Vogt-Roberts is an American film and television director, and screenwriter.

Jordan is the son of Marla Anne (Vogt) and Chadwick Jay Roberts. Jordan was raised in Royal Oak, Michigan. His father is Jewish. It is not clear if his mother is Jewish as well.

Jordan has stated:

I’m just so bad at enjoying my present, just because I’m a neurotic Jew, so I overthink everything! You have to take those moments, to step back and pinch yourself and say ‘Oh my God, this is incredible right now!’

Jordan’s paternal grandmother was Elaine Sylvia Fox (the daughter of Charlie Fox and Gertrude). Charlie was born in Wisconsin, to parents from Russia. Gertrude was born in Georgia, to a father from Austria and a mother from Germany.

Jordan’s maternal grandparents are Harold W. Vogt, Jr. and Jeanne.
