John Lydon, also known by his former stage name Johnny Rotten, is a British singer, songwriter, and musician. He is known as the lead singer of the punk rock band Sex Pistols. Other members of the band were Sid Vicious, Steve Jones, Glen Matlock, and Paul Cook.
His parents, Eileen Lydia (Barry) and John Christopher Lydon, were working-class emigrants from Ireland. John’s father was from Tuam, Galway, and his mother was from Carrigrohane, County Cork. John is married to Nora Forster.
