John Boehner is an American politician. A Republican, he served as a member of the U.S. House of Representatives from Ohio, from January 3, 1991 to October 31, 2015, House Majority Leader, from February 2, 2006 to January 3, 2007, House Minority Leader, from January 3, 2007 to January 3, 2011, and the 53rd Speaker of the United States House of Representatives, from January 5, 2011 to October 29, 2015.

John is the son of Mary Ann/Anne (Hall) and Earl Henry Boehner.

John is married to Debbie Gunlack, with whom he has two children.

John’s paternal grandfather was Andrew Boehner (the son of Henry Boehner and Dorothea/Dora Doepffer). Andrew was born in Ohio, to German parents. Dorothea was the daughter of Clemans Doepffer.

John’s paternal grandmother was Emma Leimgruber (the daughter of Martin Leimgruber and Mary). Emma was born in Ohio, to German parents.

John’s maternal grandfather was Walter Arnold Hall (the son of J. Henry Hall and Leanora “Lee” or Caroline Bates). Walter was born in West Virginia, and had English and Irish ancestry. J. Henry was the son of Clinton Hall and Nancy. Caroline was the daughter of William Bates and Eleanor Hall.

John’s maternal grandmother was Anna Ruth Schneid (the daughter of John W. Schneid and Elizabeth Schaeffer). Anna was born in Indiana. John was born in Indiana, to German parents, from Bavaria, John Schneid and Christina. Elizabeth was born in Indiana, the daughter of Casper Schaeffer, who was from Wuerttemberg, Germany, and of Louisa Vogelgesang, who was of German descent.

He was the worst speaker in history. I’m an independent. They accomplished nothing since he became speaker. Just tried to repeal laws and fight the President instead of running the government
