Jimmy Page is an English musician, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and producer. He is the guitarist for legendary rock band Led Zeppelin. Other members of the group were John Bonham, John Paul Jones, and Robert Plant. He has also been a member of the band The Yardbirds, with Jeff Beck and Eric Clapton.
Jimmy is widely considered to be one of the greatest guitarists of all time.
Jimmy is the son of Patricia Elizabeth and James Patrick Page. His daughter is photographer Scarlet Page.
On the internet, there are many rumours about Jimmy having Chinese or Japanese ancestry through a grandmother. These statements are not accurate.
Jimmy’s paternal grandfather was James Ernest Page (the son of James Ernest Page and Jane Burtles). Jimmy’s great-grandfather James was the son of Henry Page.
Jimmy’s paternal grandmother was Emily Holdom (the daughter of Henry Holdom and Emily Mileman). Henry was the son of Charles Henry Holdom and Emma Mansfield.
Jimmy’s maternal grandfather was John Gaffikin (the son of Arthur Chichester Gaffikin and Jean Anna/Anne Morton Kells). John was born in Belfast, Antrim, Ireland. Arthur was the son of John Gaffikin and Mary Jane McCallum.
Jimmy’s maternal grandmother was Edith May Thomas (the daughter of James Thomas and Elizabeth Ann Pick).

He is the most Asian-Chinese looking white guy ever.
I’m from France and I had seen him in person 3x before, when he was young I wondered if he had Asian ancestry and now that I had seen him again he seriously just looks like a typical old Chinese or Japanese man which is strange for someone who don’t have any Asian ancestry. All my friends also said he looks Asian and including a classmate of Jimmy Page who is my cousin’s friend said that he was mocked for looking odd and oriental.
I’m not completely sure if the rumor about his mother being 1/4 Chinese is fact or false but he did visited China and took photos with the locals and with the way he looks now I would believe it even if he said he was 75% Chinese or other Asian ethnicity. Anyway it doesn’t matter if he has Chinese ancestry or not, he is a incredibly talented musician and I’m a really huge fan of him.
I’ve seen Irish people who look even more Asian than him. If you look at him it is just his eye area that gives him a pseudo-Asian look. He has no Asian ancestry.

99.99% of Irish people look white and look nothing like Jimmy Page.
Darren O’Dea does look slightly mongoloid he looks nowhere close to the level of Jimmy which in my opinion looks 100x Asian. I think his eyes and the flatness of his face makes him look more Asian than the average European. I had seen French people with eyes even smaller than Jimmy but would never mistake them for a Asian.
Honestly he looks odd and unique, I kinda like it, he looks special in the sense he is properly a being pure European and still look more Asian than white but honestly still not sure about his ancestry, until Jimmy Page tells everyone about his ethnic make up I can’t say anything for sure. The rumor with Jimmy mother being 1/4 and him going to China makes me showing his passport makes me think he might a connection of but this just my guess.

I just wish Jimmy would straight-fully tell us on the TV or on youtube. I can’t find any video or him stating that he is only British and Irish. I wish it came out of his mouth because I really don’t trust on the sources circulating the internet on written articles and wikipedia which states he is British, Irish but other states his mother being 3/4 Irish and 1/4 Chinese.

anyhow Japanese have sometimes pseudo-Caucasoid features because of Ainu people whose origin has been debated for long time before genetic has cleared they’re Asian.
By the way, if you have any video or article of him stating all his ethnicity please post it.
Andrew, I’m sorry. I made most of my replies in the ” Alice section”, it was mean’t to reply mostly you but I made a mistake and have no intention to keep spamming either.
(Anyway to make it as short as possible). You can find people who are only 1/4 Asian and 1/2 Asian and still look 100% White with ( blonde, brown hair, brown hair connected ). Like this boy who is 1/2 Korean and yet look 100% White

So it really doesn’t matter if Jimmy page. Although it’s weird to think how he could look so Asian being only 1/8 Chinese ( which is not confirmed ) but than I did see 2 white couples produced a black child and 2 black couples produced a white child, so anything is possible in the world of genetics.
I had noticed any Japanese with Caucasian features I guess they are as rare as finding a white person with Mongoloid features. However here is Jimmy page in China holding a Chinese Mao passport.

Wow, I just googled Ainu people and read about them on wiki. Fascinating!!!! For all this time I had no clue about them haha. They look a Jewish tribes and people from north India . Although many of them look very Asian though.
I haven’t seen any Japanese people with Ainu or Caucasian appearance but it made explain the few Japanese with a odd appearance ( Asian looking but very huge pair of eyes and a very big and long nose)
VeronicaBale he doesn’t have any Asian ancestry. If Jimmy Page had any Asian ancestry he would say it. It isn’t difficult now to check people’s ancestry especially someone as famous as Jimmy Page. There are so many records online. I’ve often though that Jimmy Page and Rory Gallagher looks very alike when they were younger. Jimmy does have verifiable Irish ancestry.

He actually looks quite Asian in the 2nd picture. I agree he doesn’t look Asian in the first picture but is not impossible mix races to look like that. I know people who are only 1/4 Black and 1/4 Asian and look 100% white from kid to adults. Like Wentworth Miller, who I’m extremely attracted and was shocked to out his father was part African American. He looks 100% white from appearance.
For example child’s father half Asian and mother is white but his son look whiter than white. He looks like any typical nordic European from Scandinavia

I’ve never never seen a Japanese with caucasian features, I’m sure they exist but those have to be extremely rare cases like in Jimmy’s page case. I didn’t notice any Japanese like that when I was in Japan.
Alice, you could be right. I just wish I could see a video of him claiming he is only British and Irish but I couldn’t it anywhere. And I remember the part his mother being 1/4 Chinese was on wikipedia including in the Imbd before. But now it seems it’s not there so maybe he is just an odd looking person.

Could it be possible that one his great grandparent was Chinese? the Chinese were in England since 1805 and many of the Chinese adopted full British name like a Chinese seaman who was called John Anthony.
