He looks like he has at least 15 or 20% of non european blood, probably asian.
Maybe he has sami blood by her norweigan ancestry.

chris91 February 9, 2017 at 9:07 am

He looks hispanic not even typical south euro. If it’s not native it must be due to one of those finno ugric, north asiatic indigenous ethnicities. The thing is they usually dont have such tan olive skin like latins or mideasterners especially the mixed ones.

TheHelper October 16, 2017 at 8:53 am

@chris91 He tans to make his skin darker.

alberto.r7 November 30, 2017 at 5:05 am

I suppose that by hispanic(real hispanics are white europeans) you means mestizo. I think his skin would perfectly fit in Ireland or Germany but he has another features like his eyes that seem to be mongoloid as you have said.

Ardor February 8, 2017 at 6:31 pm

His Norwegian portion must be the native Asiatic folks similar to Samis and Inuits, indigenous to the Northern Europe. His eyes shape and skin tone do indicate that.

madman February 9, 2017 at 2:28 am

Sami people are the only indigenous people in Northern Europe. Inuits are from Canada and Greenland, not Scandinavia. And Jimmy’s Norwegian ancestor was not of Sami ancestry (even if he had some, it would be to small of an amount to actually affect Jimmy’s appearance anyway).

bablah February 9, 2017 at 6:39 am

>Sami people are the only indigenous people in Northern Europe

I’d argue that Swedes, Norwegians and Finns are also indigenous to Northern Europe.

madman February 9, 2017 at 7:56 am

Yes, if you go by the entire countries. But the northern parts of Scandinavia were settled by non-Sami peoples late, I think largely in the beginning of the 1600’s.

andrew February 9, 2017 at 1:23 pm

For what it’s worth, Jimmy’s wife is of Finnish descent.

TheHelper November 14, 2017 at 2:04 am

@madman Not true.

madman November 14, 2017 at 5:23 am

Yes, what I wrote is true. A “Not true” isn’t going to convince me, you’re going to have to provide a little bit more than that.

TheHelper November 14, 2017 at 2:04 am

@Ardor Asians aren’t indigenous to Northern Europe. They invaded thousands of years ago

madman November 14, 2017 at 6:04 am

If you by Asians mean Samis, then yes, they are. By any reasonable definition, Samis are indigenous to Northern Europe. I don’t know how “Asian” they can be considered though. Their origin is disputed (although an Eastern origin seems most likely), and if it is in fact Asian, they are as Asian as Finns.

Is “invaded” really the word you want to use in association with the Samis? Do you know anything about their traditional lifestyle?

that look is not uncommon in BRITAIN

look at NIGEL FARAGE who is also of british but also huguenot descent

therefore discussions about his ”exotic look” are s–t

phaedra April 20, 2016 at 9:54 pm

Looks like has native in him (eye shape).

Alice January 1, 2016 at 4:52 am

Anyway gel we might leave this discussion for another time. Sláinte and all the best for the New Year.

Alice January 1, 2016 at 4:31 am

Goodness I don’t just have my head in books and all of Northern Europe has high percentages of blue eyes. Even here in Australia there are a whole load of people with blue eyes.

gel January 1, 2016 at 4:43 am

Yes, they are – because most of them are of Irish descent!

Oh, you’re in Australia – that explains everything!

Alice January 1, 2016 at 4:49 am

Born in Ireland though gel and have spent plenty of time there so I’ve been to quite a few countries and I’m speaking from personal knowledge. I try to use scientific links to back up what I say which is more than some people do. :)

gel January 1, 2016 at 4:22 am

Here, this is why I startled the woman in Brighton!:

I looked similar to that! – the Irish look.

(By the way, I notice most in Northen Ireland have similar looks – so they are pretty Irish!)

gel January 1, 2016 at 3:52 am

I was pulled up for my blue eyes in England, so they must be unusual.
Any blue eyes in Britain often come from being of Irish descent – that has usually been the case, whenever I’ve checked.
In Ireland, the people are so blue-eyed its taken for granted. In England, brown eyes are taken for granted. That is the situation.

Alice January 1, 2016 at 3:57 am

Where did you go London? And are you talking about Native Brits? English people that have ancestry from Britain and Ireland are usually blue eyed. There are a minority Irish and British with brown eyes. (I’m of course talking about people with deep roots in Britain and Ireland and not people with ancestry from outside this area e.g. relatively recent immigrants). The UK now has a very large immigrant population but I’m sure you know the difference. People in the more southern counties of England are more likely to be brown eyed.

Alice January 1, 2016 at 4:04 am

Here is a map of blue eyes in Britain and Ireland. This was done by Britainsdna. It is also using very strict criteria of blue eyes in that it is pure blue not blue green or someone with central heterochromia. It is not the same as light eyes which would also include grey eyes, blue-green, green eyes etc. If light eyes the percentages in both Britain and Ireland would be much higher.

Alice January 1, 2016 at 4:05 am
gel January 1, 2016 at 4:13 am

Its more like 80% for the Irish, as your previous map showed, for a start.

Alice January 1, 2016 at 4:25 am

If it was light eyes Ireland would be 80% and over but as I explained the study done by Britainsdna was on “pure blue eyes”. Many people have light eyes but not just blue eyes. That study is not hog wash.

gel January 1, 2016 at 4:07 am

NO THEY DONT – you must travel around England and observe. Nothing to do with immigrants.

They might have more blue eyes in the North of England. Viking influence, I think.

Alice January 1, 2016 at 4:22 am

Viking influence is not the reason people are blue eyed. Vikings are only a minority influence on genetics in Britain and Ireland. You appear to be trying to make Britain out to be darker than it is. My ancestry is all Irish but I try to have balanced views and also think that genetic data can be useful because it is scientific. Many people have agendas and don’t always give accurate information. There is no reason for the English to be mostly brown eyed and they aren’t.

Have you read info on the PoBI study done? This is the most in-depth and most recent genetic study done on the UK.

gel January 1, 2016 at 4:27 am

Get your head out of your books and observe.
Blue eyes are recessive, that is they can soon lose out to brown eyes if there is less than a critical mass of population possessing them.

Alice January 1, 2016 at 4:31 am

Goodness I don’t just have my head in books and all of Northern Europe has high percentages of blue eyes. Even here in Australia there are a whole load of people with blue eyes.

gel January 1, 2016 at 4:11 am

I was pulled up for blue eyes in Brighton!

Alice January 1, 2016 at 4:28 am

Blue eyes are not that unusual. Let’s not exaggerate. :)

gel January 1, 2016 at 4:45 am

In Australia they aren’t! – but in England and much of Europe they are.

chris91 February 9, 2017 at 8:23 am

Whats even with that discussion? Brits are majorly composed of ancient southern european ethnicities it goes way back to when Basques and Iberians travelled and settled in todays Britain. Brits are basically the spaniards of the north minus the ones that have more Anglo-Saxon and scandinavian heritage of course but they seem in the minority.

neiltennant August 2, 2015 at 3:56 am

i m sure and that for years that JIMMY FELLON has more roots than those mentioned here

those eyes are totally uncommon in norway in germany and even in ireland and britain

and adding those three ethnicities does not make it possible that he is only of these 3 ethnicities

and I’m sure one day it will be written here something else

Capricious October 8, 2015 at 6:35 am

You mean the eye shape or the colour?

Yes, their shape are a bit “Asiatic”, think Native American or Asian-Russian.

Dark eyes are not unheard of among Germans and especially the Irish (who have darker folks).

Alice November 30, 2015 at 9:35 pm

“Dark eyes are not unheard of among Germans and especially the Irish (who have darker folks).”

Where do you get that information from Capricious? There are dark eyed and haired people in both countries but the Irish don’t have darker complected people than the Germans. Also there is a higher percentage of blue eyes in the Irish than the Germans. I think people just rely too much on stereotypes without at least trying to check for some information on the subject.

I know it comes across as a bit pendantic but your statement is inaccurate. I know some of these maps are a bit dubious but it gives an idea.

gel December 31, 2015 at 1:48 pm

Funny chart! – the Welsh have more blue eyes than the English.

English might have 30% blue eyes, tops. Scots not much more.

Alice January 1, 2016 at 2:31 am

Scots are similar to the Irish and the English have slightly more brown eyes but Britain and Ireland are both majority blue eyed.

gel January 1, 2016 at 2:36 am

Alice, you make these statements, but its not my experience. What makes you say the English are majority blue-eyed?

Alice January 1, 2016 at 2:57 am

I’ve seen loads of English and have been there. There is also studies done. I’m especially aware of genetic studies and read a lot of info on the subject. A bit OT but I’ve had 3 dna tests done on myself and also have had 3 family members done. This is why some of the things said here & elsewhere about British and Irish people is very inaccurate.

I gather you are Irish Gel? You do know that the English are very similar to the Irish genetically? In fact all of northern Europeans are close genetically. Anyway I don’t want to get too OT but some of your comments give that impression.

Just waiting now for the Stormfronters to come on about how the English are Anglo-Saxons and how Germanic populations are. “rolls eyes”.

gel January 1, 2016 at 2:01 am

The Germans look darker than the Irish – I mean, if they look dark, they are dark!: Witness Joachim Low, German soccer boss

Alice May 26, 2015 at 6:31 am

Jimmy Fallon’s family tree as researched by a genealogist.

follers May 26, 2015 at 11:24 am

It’s already linked?

noneofyourbusiness February 2, 2015 at 6:02 am

He must have some Amerindian or Asian genes.

theropod April 1, 2015 at 12:14 am

I agree. He has an Amerindian look. His ethnicity would be legit if it were 60% Irish, 25% Native and 15% (insert European ethnicity)…..

Alice May 26, 2015 at 6:32 am

Nope he has no native only Irish, German and Norwegian.

M-oneill-14 October 26, 2014 at 1:09 pm

p.s. this site is confusing as hell, that’s with the percentage, you do realise that most Irish also have Norway ancestors from way back in Viking times. You are over simplifying things with the percentages.

M-oneill-14 October 26, 2014 at 1:07 pm

He looks quite exotic for an O’Neill clan member, we are as pale as milk in Ireland

Check7t October 26, 2014 at 3:38 pm

He looks like British Actor Ed Westwick.

neiltennant August 4, 2015 at 3:03 pm

true and ED WESTWICK looks like TED MOSBY
