Jennifer is the daughter of Patricia Mae and Herbert Daniel Hewitt. She was raised in Nolanville in Central Texas. She is married to actor Brian Hallisay, with whom she has three children.

Her hair isn’t “dark” it’s medium brown, which is a common color amongst the English and Southern German.
