Jeanne Crain was an American actress. Her roles included the films In the Meantime, Darling; State Fair (1945), Leave Her to Heaven, Centennial Summer, Margie, Apartment for Peggy, A Letter to Three Wives, Pinky, Cheaper by the Dozen (1950), People Will Talk, Man Without a Star, Gentlemen Marry Brunettes, The Fastest Gun Alive, and The Joker Is Wild. She was also known as Jeanne Crain Brinkman.

She was the daughter of Loretta and George A. Crain, a high school English teacher. She was married to Paul Brinkman, until his death, with whom she had seven children. Paul was an actor under Paul Brooks, and later an executive for an arms manufacturing company.

Jeanne’s maternal grandfather was Martin Joseph Carr (the son of Hugh Carr and Mary McDonough). Martin was born in Mayo, Ireland.

Jeanne’s maternal grandmother was named Anna O’Brien. Anna was born in Iowa.
